Random Thoughts...

• I brought the Wash and Go back...My first few years natural, I ONLY wore wash and go's and buns.  I had gotten away from it, I will be wearing them much more often!!
• I'm hosting a book club meeting at my house this month, I'm looking forward to entertaining, it has been too long!!
• I can see changes in my body since I've been going to the gym regularly and eating healthier...
• The scale will not cooperate though...
• I'm trying to see the bigger picture though...
• When I'm drinking the recommended amount of water (half my body weight) a day, I use the bathroom almost every 30 minutes. I think I may need to go to the doctor about that...
• Having a roommate is very different than living with your significant other...
• My niece is going to be a great basketball player...
• Pinterest is great...I have made at least 1 new recipe a week since joining...
• I worry that the older I get, the harder it will be for me to have children...
• I want to be married before having kids though...
• I should trim my ends soon, just to stay on top of it...
• Going an entire year without trimming is not a good idea...for me...

• I am finally slowing down after a busy summer!!!
• What the heck happened to August being the hottest month of the summer????
• Ugh, I have gained weight...
• Started Couch to 5k again...

• And, I'm trying my hand at couponing, mostly for toiletries and things like!
• I want a better camera, maybe I'll ask for one for Christmas...

The Hang Of It

I guess I'm never going to get the hang of blogging.  I lose interest, and then I get it back. 

I suppose to get people to read, I have to post regularly, and interesting stories.  I'm going to try to do better.

Anywho, some randoms on what's been going on with me:

• I went to St. Louis this past weekend, and Poetry came with me.  We had an awesome time.  The last time I took a guy to St. Louis, it was a disaster, and our relationship ended shortly thereafter.  That's another post, that really isn't worth writing.  The trip was short, just the weekend, but we had a great time.
• I'm going to Jamaica in 4 weeks, I CANNOT wait, this will also be my first time going on vacation with a significant other (does boyfriend sound juvenile?).  I have no doubt that we are going to have a blast. Most of my favorite people will be there.  
• I still do not have this weight loss thing down, I will get there.
• I've learned that I AM NOT a dog person.  They are cute and all, but I don't have the patience to train one.  
• I've been knitting, slowly, but regularly.  I have a picture of a hat I'm making, I think I'm going to do a post about it, I made the pattern up!!
• I have not read a book in a while, I need to dust off my liter.ati and download a book, ASAP.
• I have been to the movies more in the past two months, than I had all last year.

• When I go out, I am sooo wrong, I take (or try to take) pictures of all of the foolery that I say...

• If I feel like things aren't being done right, or in the most efficient way possible, I try to take over...but, I've been keeping my mouth shut lately, I feel like a new person...

I add cream and sugar, I don't see how anyone can drink black coffee. I have recently stopped drinking it though, my blood pressure was higher than normal right after I started drinking coffee regularly.

No, although I have/am contemplating getting one, living alone and all.

This Country...

I grew up in a neighborhood where I was called a n*gga by the other kids.  Not on the regular, but at least once that I can recall... 

I played volleyball and I was the only black girl on the team...

I went to a school where I was the only black person in class 90% of the time...

I never thought I would see the day when a black man and a white woman would be the front runners in a democratic race for the president.  I never thought I would see the day where the Republican Vice President pick would be a woman.  Especially a woman with a child with down sydrome, and another child pregnant at 17.  Now, I understand that teen pregnancy is an issue in this country, but if we should look to any family to be an example, shouldn't it be in the white house?  

On another note, Serena beat Venus, and I'm happy about that....

Random Thoughts

I can't think about anything except my upcoming vacation. What else do I need (nothing), I should take off of work (I can't), it's so close, yet so far away (not really), am I going to have a blast (of course), and the list goes on and on...

I don't really care for my brothers girlfriend. She doesn't really have any tact, she's not friendly, and she doesn't behave in a manner that I would expect from a woman with kids that has been married before, but that's just me.

I got braids, for the trip so I can be lazy and not worry about doing anything to my hair, and I love them. I young lady in high school did them for me, at a steal of a price, and she did an amazing job.

I need to finish up these dishcloths (1.5 more to go) for my aunt, whose birthday was in June, the beginning of June, don't judge.

My personal life is on a roller coaster right now, but I'm about to get off of the ride real soon...

I'm glad that I have good friends that I can talk to, and trust to be honest and not judge me. That give me their honest opinions without worry that I will be upset or whatever, I love and appreciate you all!

I am about to be 27 in less than a month, the birthdays just keep coming!

I finally got a promotion at work, long overdue, but much appreciated. I earned it though, and I truly believe that.

Can it be?

Well, I talked to J^2 yesterday, and it just so effortless. He asked me to look up the price of tickets today for him, and I did. I'm trying not to get too excited, because if I get disappointed, I get an attitude. I guess with him it just seems like things go too smoothly. I don't know, I'm nervous. I'm scared to let go, but at the same time I'm scared not to. I seriously think that he wants to be with me, but I don't want to be a fool either. I'm just going to go with the flow and see where it takes me!

I helped a lady with her Algebra homework yesterday, and it took 3 hours. So, I didn't have practice, but I was busy anyway. That's the breaks I guess. I don't mind helping people, but she waited until the last minute. I'll probably help her on the weekends though. I actually enjoyed it.

My stepdad came and cut my grass for me yesterday, thank goodness, because I don't want to buy a lawn mower right now.
