I've been tagged...

So... I've been tagged by Shanta to do a little survey. I have to say this is the first time that I've been tagged, and not sure if I have people to tag, but here goes...

"The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themself. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 0r 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blog and leaves a comment letting them know they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you've posted your answer."

Sounds easy enough. Enjoy the trip...

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?

I was finishing up my junior year in high school. Still going with my high school boyfriend, Darren. I was driving either a Grand Am. Oh the high school days. Was definitely a different time than now.

2. What are five things on my to do list for today?
  • finish my swap projects
  • go over my moms house
  • water my flowers
  • do some laundry
  • dinner with Ike Nick
3. Snacks I enjoy...
  • potato chips
  • cinnamon rolls, brownies, cake, cookies, anything with dough and sugar ;-)
4.Things I would do if I were a billionaire...
  • Create some type of program for young people to get experience doing things, so that they don't go to college as clueless as I did
  • travel
  • make my mom and sister are taken care of
  • quit my job
5. Places I have lived...
  • St. Louis, MO (until I was about 5)
  • Ft. Wayne, IN (most of my life)
  • Terre Haute, IN (college)
  • Cedar Rapids, IA (first job out of college)
  • Now I'm back in Ft. Wayne, IN
6. What jobs have I had...
  • Cashier (McDonalds, K-Mart, Lowe's, Old Navy, Best Buy)
  • Phone Survey Person
  • Software Engineer

7. Peeps I want to know more about...
I don't think most of these people even check my blog, but we'll see!

Okay it's you all's turn.

Be Safe.

What Is Going On...

I got my hair cut yesterday, and I love it. It's not short, but shorter than it was.

Our swap is tomorrow, I can't wait. We are going to eat sushi, drink cocktails, and go see SATC, it's going to be fantastic.

Isn't modeling 'school' always a rip-off? Some people never cease to amaze me.

I have been knitting, but the projects are a secret, until tomorrow...

I am ready to leave work for the weekend...

I need another long weekend, but we start 9/80 at work, and I'll have every other Friday off for the summer, that will be great...

I'm going to start socks this weekend, should be fun to make something new!

I am ready to go on vacation, like yesterday. I still have about 2 months, but I am counting down already...

I wish I got paid (close) to what I was worth at work...

Pay It Forward

"It’s the Pay It Forward Exchange. It’s based of the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness are passed on. So here’s how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that’s a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.

I will now Pay It Forward to you THREE, I wonder who you will be?! Please, be a PIF! You will enjoy it just as much as we do!"

And, remember...you have 6 months to get your gifts done! Come on, you know you would love to be one of my angels. Then, one day, but you don't know when....you will get a gift that I have made especially for YOU!

Please remember, you don't have to knit or crochet to participate, anyone who can make a nice handmade gift is welcome to join :)

I am so looking forward to starting. Can't wait to see who joins me.

Swapping...

Well, since I joined Ravelry (an online knitting community), I have been addicted to all things knitting. Well, there are a ton of swaps on Ravelry. What is a swap you ask, you get a partner, they list their likes and dislikes, and you put together a package for them, and someone does the same for you. All swaps are different, some have themes, budgets, projects and on and on. So, La and I decided to do a swap of our own. So we could be sure that we would get an awesome package. Well, I don't know if that was a good idea. She is my bff, so a budget is a joke. And, I know she will get me an amazing package, and I want to make sure that I do the same for her, so I'm splurging to say the least. Not ridiculous, but I want it to be super special. I am done buying her stuff (I've said that a couple of times already, but I haven't been successful yet), now I'm concentrating on her handmade items!! Will I have enough time to make her all that I want to make her? Only time will tell. We are exchanging on May 31st, and we are going to see Sex and the City, won't it be perfect???? I can't wait!

Doily Cloth

When I got home, I started it again, thought I knew the first 6 rows by heart, to realize I had done it wrong. So I took it down again. After dinner, I started on it again, at about 6:30. And by 9 p.m., with a few small interruptions, I was binding off. My hands are sore, probably from all of the YO, K2TOG that created the lace. But all in all, it was a quick and fun knit. I'm going to make at least one more, if not 2.
