#Winning

So, I read a lot of blogs, a lot of them, but I rarely comment, but I'm a sucker for giveaways.  Actually, I'm sucker for the 'lurker' posts.  You know, the posts where authors of blogs ask their lurkers to leave a comment.  I typically comment on these posts whether there is a giveaway or not.  Well, http://theunemployedbride.wordpress.com/ had one of these posts, and guess who won!!!!!!!  That's right, I did.  So, as soon as I found out I won (yes, before even receiving the certificate), I started searching Amazon to see what I was going to get!!  I decided, that I would think about what I wanted AND needed before buying something on a whim.  Well, I was OUT of all of the perfume that I wear, so that's what I bought.

Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline

It smells divine, and I absolutely love it.  And I was out...Perfect timing.  I think I'm going to do a giveaway sometime.  If I ever get any readers, lol.

I'm a Red Head

So, I've been wanting to do something with my hair.  I've been toying with dying it, cutting it, dying and cutting.  Well, I decided I wanted a brownish blondish color, so I bought some color, and had my mother apply it for me.  Well, the genius in me, didn't think that mixing a brown and blonde won't create a brownish blondish color silly, it will create a reddish color, which I found out the next day after my hair dried.  Well, good thing I like it.  Otherwise I would be back at Sa.lly looking for some brown close to my original color :-).

Reflection...

Ah, I turn 30 this year.  My life doesn't look like I expected it to at this age, but what can you do.  I find that when I reflect, I tend to focus on the things that I want, but don't have.  A husband, children, great savings, a job I love, or even like for that matter.  No doubt thinking like this puts me in a drab mood.  So, I'm going to write out why I don't have these things, maybe it will make me feel better.

1. A husband - Well, who wants to be married for the sake of being married??? Not me.  When I turned 25, I can recall thinking that I would start settling because I was worried that I would never meet anyone that would want to marry me.  Totally out of character thought for me, but it entered my mind.  Instead, I seen myself being even more critical.  Maybe it was because I knew what I wanted.  Maybe it was because I was realistic about the things I could and could not deal with in a mate.  Whatever the case, I am actually grateful that I am not married, because thinking back to my past relationships, none of those guys fit the bill.  Thank the Lord for hindsight.

2. Children - Although I believe I could be a decent single mother, the fact of the matter is, I don't want to be one.  I'm certain that I cannot imagine having an infant alone.  I know that I am not well rounded enough to instill all of the values that a child would need.  At this point in my life, I would love to have a child, the fact is, raising a child alone is hard work.  Probably one of the hardest things a woman could ever do.  So, until #1 happens, I would rather wait on #2.

3. Great Savings - Well, I have a good credit score, but savings, is just embarrassing.  While I am on the track to have enough money to start saving significantly, before now, any money that didn't go towards bills, was spent long before my next paycheck.  Be it on food, clothes, traveling, entertainment, you name it.  I had convinced myself that if I made more money, I would be able to save.  Turns out, the more I made, the less I saved, the more I spent.  I realized that my attitude about money had to change, or I would be in a rat race for the rest of my life.  So, I'm glad to say, that I have learned a great lesson, and I am on my way to making great financial decisions.  Until then, I am paying off my twenties so that I can save my thirties.

4. A job I love - Ahhh, I don't know what I want to be when I grow up.  I get frustrated even thinking about it, because I have no idea what it is that I can do to make money, that I would love.  Maybe I should take one of those quizzes that you take in high school.  One thing is for sure just because you get good grades in math and science does not mean that you should be an engineer, tell your children people.

Reflection is a great thing, now what am I going to do about #4????

Push-It

I've been going to a core fusion class at the gym, well, by I've been going, I mean I've been 3 times.  But anyway, the first day, was challenging, but a good workout.  The second day was harder, but still motivating.  Last night, was killer.  I was tired afterward, but today, I am exhausted.  Like, I can barely keep my eyes open, and my legs feel like they are going to give out on me at any moment.  I know I sound like a punk, but let me tell you what we did:

50 - 40 - 30 - 20 - 10 - Jumping Jacks and crunches (without stopping)

100 squats (without stopping)

Plank while counting down from 100

100 calf raises

75 reverse crunches

50 step out lunges

Just typing out has made me even more tired.

The fact that I finished this class, and I'm exhausted, and sore, but I finished.  I've learned that I definitely don't push myself hard enough.  I will be going back on Thursday!!!!

Things that make you go hmmm...

So, I've been reading about what I suppose everyone is reading about today, the death of a terrorist.  I'm surprised at how many people have negative thoughts about it.  I guess I'm just curious what peoples expectations were.  Did they think the military personnel would never find him?  Did they think he would be taken peacefully?

Weekend!!!

Weekends are absolutely too short.  I think that at least a few times a week, and I say it a couple times too...

For some reason, I've been tired today, like I could have slept ALL day.  My family went out to eat for my step dads birthday though, so that wasn't possible.

I got a shellac manicure, and I love it.  So, I said goodbye to my month old acrylic nails!!!  I got a pedicure too!

We (La and I) went to see Fast Five, it was really good!!!  Probably my favorite of the Fast and the Furious movies...

I have pictures to share!!!

Poetry bought me flowers :-)!!!

My cousin, my sister, OSU fan, and I!!! We went to the spring game last weekend. My sisters soon to be stepson plays for them.
Fun times with La!!!
