'Though it seems heaven sent, we aint ready to see a black president."Or are we?? I went to vote last night, and for the first time in a long time, black people that I didn't know, smiled and said hello to me. The wait to actually vote was an hour. And on my way to the back of the line, my people surprised me. They were smiling, and speaking, and friendly. Now, I hate to stereotype us, but in my experience, we ignore one another if we don't know you. But not last night. I was proud, to cast my vote for Barack Obama. So not only do I think we are ready, we are in need of one!!
It felt good, to make my selections on those 6 pages, page 1 being the most important, and reviewing them once to make sure I didn't make a mistake, and finally pushing that red button to cast my vote!!
I hate to see the polls making it seem like Obama has the election locked down, when we all know that is just not true. I would love to believe that it is, but anything can happen between now and November 4th.
