- Why do I want everything, NOW?
- Are all women just as impatient as I?
- Why am I so skeptical of men? (very rhetorical)
- I need to win the lottery (If I won, I would probably keep working, and enjoy knowing that I don't HAVE to)
- My nails are painted black...
- Why do random people send me messages on yahoo messenger? (They always get blocked)
- I need to stop spending money like it grows on trees...
- Why do people complain about a situation that they have control over being in?
- Happy Halloween...
- Will I marry and have children someday?
- How is 2Pac still coming out with new songs?
- Why is there still a trial about Biggie's death? How long does it really take?
- There haven't been any concerts here in a while...

Age Aint Nothin But A Number...
Well, at least I used to think this way. And I've learned, that it's not age that matters, it's experience. I went out this weekend, and I danced with this guy, and he asked me for my number. When we talked, I asked him how old he was, typical question that you ask someone that you don't know. Well, he's 17 years older than me. I can't say that I was all the way un-interested at this point. But as we continue to talk, he tells me that he has twin sons, that are around my age. And he's been married before. I've dated plenty of men who have children. But never, have I dated someone and I could also date their children. Now, I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with dating someone much older, if that's your thing, but I just can't do it. I don't have any children, and I've never been married.
After speaking with him again last night, I realize, that age is the excuse that I'm using. There are a number of reasons that I'm not feeling him. His age is one of them. He doesn't even live close to where I live. He has quite a few hang-ups about women that are just not true for most women. He talks, entirely too much.
An example, of a piece of our conversation. First let me give you the background. On Sunday evening, I told him that I was going to iron my clothes for the week, he asks me, so what are you going to wear. Maybe I'm trippen, but that annoys me. You want me to run down each and every outfit that I'm wearing for the week? Seriously? So, yesterday we are talking, and out of nowhere he askes, "So, what did you decide to wear to work today." Annoyed, I say, "Nothing special, just some black pants and a white shirt." Him, "All that planning and you just wore black pants and a white shirt." Me, "All what planning, I have to iron clothes for work, so I do it all on Sunday, I didn't do any serious planning." I'm thinking what was I supposed to wear, some green pants, with a sweater, and a button up under it? I just don't understand the entire conversation about what I wore to work. Must be over my head.
So, I've decided that I'm not going to talk to him anymore. I don't like him, and I'm not interested. Sorry Sweetness, but you are not the one for me.

The Weekend...
Is just too short. I had a good time though. Had some drinks, kicked it with First of the Month, kicked it with knitliscious (since you don't like LD), got some rest. What more can you ask for.

It's Friday...
And I am ready to leave work, Friday's are always like that. I don't have any great plans, but the thought of being able to sleep in, and not having to be here for eight hours excites me. Now, in college, I never thought it would be like this, but here I am, three years later, living for the weekend.

Slap, Slap, Slap, Right Across Your Melon
So, I went recruiting a couple of weeks ago for work, and it was just me and this other chic that went to my school. Apparently she knew about the trip long before I did. So she made arrangements to get rent a car and what not. So I'm thinking that she's gone recruiting before, I find out on the way there that she hasn't. So skip ahead, I received an email today, from the HR lady that handles recruiting, she's based in New York, I see in the email, that the chic told her that I had the resumes that we collected. Now, the lady asked for the resumes on October 16th, she never even checked the boxes that she has, she just told her that I have them. So I look through the box that I have, again, then I go and look in my car to make sure they aren't in there. No resumes. I knew I didn't have them, because before we left, I packed up EVERYTHING. So I go to her desk today, and I'm like did you look through the boxes that you have, because I don't have the resumes. She's like, I found them, they were in the bottom of the box. I wanted to say, you didn't think you should look for them before you went ahead and told HR that I had them? But I didn't, I just kept it moving. So, about 30 minutes later, I get an email from this chic asking me to mail this table skirt to HR in New York. The lady asked her to mail the skirt out, on October 16th. And, I guess I didn't respond quick enough, because she comes calling me right after lunch asking me if I got the email. Now, in the time that it took her to call and email me, she could have went down to the mail room, mailed the skirt, and went right back to what she was doing. Her excuse, oh, I'm so swamped, I just haven't had time. You aren't any busier than anyone else, good try though. You are lazy, and you don't know how to multi-task. I mean seriously, I took the bag to the mailroom, gave the lady the address, and my name, and was back at my desk in 5 minutes. I just want to slap this chic, for real.

'In God We Trust'
I received this email today:
Please help do this... refuse to accept these when they are handed back to you. I received one from the Post Office as change and I asked for a dollar bill instead. The lady just smiled and said, "Way to go," so she had read this e-mail. Please help out. Our world is in enough trouble without this too!!!!!

U.S. Government to Release New Dollar Coins
You guessed it - 'IN GOD WE TRUST' IS GONE!!!
If ever there was a reason to boycott something, THIS IS IT!!!!
DO NOT ACCEPT THE NEW DOLLAR COINS AS CHANGE
Together we can force them out of circulation.
Please Send to all on your mail list !!!
This is a hoax.

Why am I on spend mode right now? My money does run out...
Isn't everyone's hair good hair? Someone at work this morning told me I had that good stuff...
I want to lose weight, but then I eat anything that sounds tasty...
I'm tired of this project I'm working on, it just won't end...
I'm ready for Christmas break, it begins in about eight weeks...
First of the Month and I are going ice-skating, it's going to be a fright...
It was 40 degrees this morning, seems like we went straight from summer to winter...
I could use a real vacation, asap...
My sisters birthday is on Sunday...
Why are people so fake? It's just unnecessary with me...
I have a thing for shoes and handbags, a bad thing...
I want some Ugg boots, and knock-offs just won't do...
I'm freezing at my desk with a jacket on...

How to spot a Hoax...
I know I'm not alone when I say I get a ton of emails warning me of potential dangers. Ranging from being able to call a specific number to alert the police if I'm in trouble, people selling perfume to try and knock me out and rob me, to putting my cell phone number on the do not call list because the cell phone companies are selling our numbers to telemarketers. And while, I do appreciate a genuine warning if there is potential danger, most of these emails are a hoax. Bill Gates will never send you money for forwarding emails (how will he even keep track), and Penny Brown is not missing! There is this wonderful website, www.snopes.com, that has information on ALL of the emails that I have ever gotten. And I must say, 98% of them are just not true. What's even more outrageous to me is that I try to tell other people about this site, so that they too can educate themselves on these emails, they get upset. I'm not saying that you shouldn't be concerned if you receive an email about a child missing, or a possible robbery attempt, but I'm saying, don't cause yourself unnecessary anguish. Take a minute, see if it's true, and then send it on. Otherwise, I don't want to read about something that is just going to take up space in my brain for no reason at all. So, do me and all of your friends a favor, the next time you get an email, search on snopes, and find out if its worth your forward. Please and Thank You!

I want it all...
Don't I deserve to have it all?
There's not enough time in a day...
The weekends are too short...
I'm ready for a vacation...
I'm ready to go home, or leave work anyway...
Why do people say that something is always the last place you look, of course it is, you wouldn't be looking for it after you've found it?
I don't know what I want to be when I grow up...
When are we going to get tickets to the play?
Don't I deserve to have it all?

Over-Weight
So, when most people look at me, they just think I'm a little over weight. But I have news for every, according to any Body-Mass Index calculator I can find, I am obese. According to these calculators, I need to be about 50 pounds lighter to be in the zone of what's considered a healthy weight. Now, I haven't been 50 lbs lighter than I am right now, since high school. And I don't even mean senior year in high school, I mean, sophomore year. I mean, I do need to lose weight, but at the same time, if I weighed 50lbs less than I do right, I would look downright skinny, not a good look for me! So, here's to wanting to lose weight and not be skinny!

So, I like pants from the Gap, but sometimes I need a size larger than what they carry in the store, so I was very pleased to see, that they offer a couple extra sizes on their website.
I need to start counting calories, ASAP.
The weather today makes me want to go to sleep.
Am I bitter because I'm single?
I am tired of being lonely, but I know I need to have patience.
I'm considering going back to school, but I don't know what I would go for.
I'm going to St. Louis this weekend to see Mr. Charlie.
My water bill is ridiculous.
I want it all.
I feel like something is missing from my life, and I don't know what it is.
What is Nas thinking with his new CD?

Fashion, Or Lack Thereof...
I find myself enjoying learning what's going on in the fashion world. However, I don't think I'm into dressing. Let me explain, typically, when I go to work, I put on what's comfortable. Regardless of how it looks. I mean most of the time, I wouldn't want people outside of work to actually see me in my work clothes. This is not a good look. Shouldn't I be proud of my appearance all of the time? So, as of today, I am going to force myself, to take pride in the way that I look when I go to work. Now, I'm not saying that I'm going to be wearing suits and heels, but if I feel like I will have to go home and change before being seen outside of work, then I should put a little more effort into what I'm wearing. I almost want to take it to the level that if I wouldn't want to be seen it, it probably shouldn't be in my closet. Sounds like a trip to the goodwill drop box will be coming up soon!

United States Postal Service
Typically, when mailing something that needs to be put in a box, I take the item(s) to the post office, buy a box, pay for postage, and send the package on it's way. Well, I recently discovered, that if you go to www.usps.com, you can order these same boxes, and they will either mail or deliver them to your home, for free. Now there is one catch, you have to order multiple items. For instance, you can just request one box, you have to get a package of 10. Just thought I'd share this tad bit of information. I mean, those boxes can cost up to 3 or 4 dollars. Not a huge deal in the big scheme of things, but hey, any extra money in my pocket makes me happy.

Wasteful...
So, I was talking to my bff last night, and she was telling me that the library just throws things away when they can't use it anymore. And I know I came down hard on her, and I want to apologize, because I know it's not her fault, she's doing her job, I mean I know I have to do what's required of me at work.
I just can't get over that the library system just puts what they can't use anymore in the trash. Seems like they could find something better to do with it. I'm sure they are charities out there that would be more than happy to pick up the library's 'trash'.
Anywho, I love you LD!

My Favorite Time of the Year
I love fall. It's not so cold that you are freezing, but cold enough that you can sleep with the windows open and want to stay in bed the entire day. The sun comes out, but you still need on a jacket. I'm normally not very busy in the fall, so the days seem long. We start preparing for the holiday season. Fall makes me all warm inside!
I hate when...
People try to make me share their opinion. Ignore mine, and get upset when they can't convince me that I should think like them. I mean seriously, isn't that why this country is so great, because not only am I allowed to have my own beliefs, I can share them openly. I am a very opinionated person to say the least. However, I understand that everyone doesn't see things the way that I do, and I'm ok with with. Differences in opinion make for great conversation. When you are dealing with adults anyway. Immature people get upset.

Woot
So, there's this website called woot and they have daily deals. Normally it's on electronic gadgets, but sometimes the stuff is just random, like vacuum cleaners. They also have a couple other sites, sellout.woot, and tshirt.woot. I've ordered something from the site once, some cordless phones, that now were a waste of money because I don't plan on getting a house phone. But either way, they have some pretty good deals on there. There's one deal a day, so when the deal sells out, that's it until the next day. Sometimes they have what is called a woot-off. Where they have an item, when it sells out, they immediately put up something else. Nothing too exciting about the site, but it's cool if you like electronics and you like good deals!

The Weekend...
So, I went on a date with 'First of the Month' on Saturday. And I realized how much I short change myself sometimes. We made the plans, and then he called me and said "So are you coming to get me, my car is not a good date car." So immediately I'm like, ok, here we go. This is going to be the worst date ever. The entire time that I'm on my way to his house, I have an attitude, that is likely to mess up the entire date. So we go bowling. We bowled 5 games and had a couple of drinks. Then we went to Outback, and we just talked. About a lot of different things. Reminiscing about the past. Talking about past relationships. It was very cool. Then, I chilled at his house for a little while. And this chilling was nothing like I've ever done with a guy that I was interested in. I mean, we cuddled a little bit. But he wasn't trying to feel all on me. I never felt uncomfortable. We never even kissed. It was a great time, and I'm looking forward to going out with him again. I can't say that I didn't want to kiss him. He was looking good, fresh hair cut, nicely put together outfit, smelling good. But I feel good that I can take it slow with him without feeling pressured. I know that when we take steps, it will be because I want to, not because he is making it known that he wants it.
Now, I've short-changed myself in the past. Thinking, that just going to a movie is a date. Because really, it's not. And not because of a money thing. But because at a movie, you can't talk to someone, or see if there's any chemistry. You just sit there, and watch the movie. So the only time you have to talk is in the car on the way to and from the movie. So I've decided, that a movie is no longer an acceptable first date. Now a second or third date, sounds good. But I can't get to know anything about you in a movie.

What's Happening...
I've been kind of busy lately, which I guess isn't really all that out of the norm for me. Besides working I've still been having volleyball. We had 3 games a week for 2 weeks in a row, and this week we had 2 games. Next Saturday we have a tournament and that is it for us. I will miss the girls, but I'm looking forward to the break. Even though, it won't be a very long break, since I agreed to coach basketball this year. It should be cool. The head basketball coach is very laid back, and the entire coaching staff gets along pretty well.
Other than that, I haven't talked to J^2 at all, and I don't plan on calling him. I'm trying to find some time to get workouts in. On Wednesday nights, there's a place I play volleyball at. But that's just not enough. Losing weight seems to be a never ending battle with me.
I've been growing my hair out, and I can see good progress. I'm getting excited about a longer natural look. I'm about due for a trim, but I need to make an appointment. Maybe I'll see if she can get me in on Saturday sometime. I want some Chi flat irons, but I haven't convince myself to spend the money just yet.
Oh well, nothing too exciting, more to come this weekend!

The Weekend...
I went shopping, but took the coat that I bought back. I kept two pairs of jeans though.
I was sick on Saturday night, but took some medicine and was better on Sunday.
I got a ceiling fan for my bedroom as a gift!
I finished knitting a hat, it's pretty sweet.
