I'm Late

I have been listening to this song non-stop since yesterday morning.  While reading another blog, http://creoleindc.typepad.com/, she had the video on there.  I had heard a couple other Ad.ele songs, and had planned on purchasing the CD, but never made it a priority.  After hearing the song, I promptly did a site to store purchase and picked it up immediately after work.  I LOVE good music!!!

Shacking Up...

I've lived with a guy once, and it lasted about two or three months before he moved out.  I don't remember the exact reason why I made him move out, but living together, in my mind, wasn't all I thought it would be.  I remember he didn't treat 'our' place like his place, basically, it was like he was staying the night all the time.  So, what's the purpose of you 'living' here if it feels like your visiting, I'll pass. 

That was my one and only experience living some a guy that I was in a relationship with.  Well, Poetry and I are considering it.  We've been together 9 months, we spend every night together anyway.  He's basically giving away his rent and utility money every month.  We would go back and forth to each others place for a while, but that got old.  I would forget things that I needed at his place.  I got tired of packing a bag, blah blah blah.  So, I stopped saying anything about us going to his house, and he didn't either.  Well, fast forward a few months, and its like, if we are going to be at my house all of the time anyway, you might as well move in. 

Thinking about the extra money assisting in me shopping getting out of debt seemed like icing on the cake for the whole thing. 

He still has to deal with the house that he's renting since his lease isn't up until January.  The rental company will simply make it available, when someone wants it, then he's out of his lease.  So he will still have to pay rent there, but then that's no different than what he does now. 

I've weighed the pros and cons of the situation, and I'm ready to take the step.

Monday Randoms

• My brother always has some excuse for why he has to leave...Goodbye, I couldn't care less what you have to do tomorrow...
• A LOT of people say, I could care less...I don't think that has the meaning they are trying to get across...
• I am going to buy a book for my literati before Jamaica, I need to find a good one...
• My best friend showed out on my makeup this weekend, I'm going to post a picture!!
• I went to a different place to get my gel manicure this weekend, I think that will be my place of choice, my nails were peeling after a few days before...I think 3 times is plenty to give a place a chance...
• My sisters nuptial ceremony was really nice!!
• Hanging with my cousin this weekend made me miss spending time with her, may need to plan a trip to Chicago, soon!
• I am ready to get my hair braided...
• So, a goal at the beginning of the year for me was to lose 2 pounds a week...yeah, I'm still the same weight I was on Jan. 1st.  It's fluctuated, but yeah, I haven't lost hope.
• On a more positive note, I am getting out of debt, slowly but surely!!!
• This will be my last week working that part time job, it's for the birds...
• Poetry continues to amaze me...

The Hang Of It

I guess I'm never going to get the hang of blogging.  I lose interest, and then I get it back. 

I suppose to get people to read, I have to post regularly, and interesting stories.  I'm going to try to do better.

Anywho, some randoms on what's been going on with me:

• I went to St. Louis this past weekend, and Poetry came with me.  We had an awesome time.  The last time I took a guy to St. Louis, it was a disaster, and our relationship ended shortly thereafter.  That's another post, that really isn't worth writing.  The trip was short, just the weekend, but we had a great time.
• I'm going to Jamaica in 4 weeks, I CANNOT wait, this will also be my first time going on vacation with a significant other (does boyfriend sound juvenile?).  I have no doubt that we are going to have a blast. Most of my favorite people will be there.  
• I still do not have this weight loss thing down, I will get there.
• I've learned that I AM NOT a dog person.  They are cute and all, but I don't have the patience to train one.  
• I've been knitting, slowly, but regularly.  I have a picture of a hat I'm making, I think I'm going to do a post about it, I made the pattern up!!
• I have not read a book in a while, I need to dust off my liter.ati and download a book, ASAP.
• I have been to the movies more in the past two months, than I had all last year.
