Random Thoughts

I can't think about anything except my upcoming vacation. What else do I need (nothing), I should take off of work (I can't), it's so close, yet so far away (not really), am I going to have a blast (of course), and the list goes on and on...

I don't really care for my brothers girlfriend. She doesn't really have any tact, she's not friendly, and she doesn't behave in a manner that I would expect from a woman with kids that has been married before, but that's just me.

I got braids, for the trip so I can be lazy and not worry about doing anything to my hair, and I love them. I young lady in high school did them for me, at a steal of a price, and she did an amazing job.

I need to finish up these dishcloths (1.5 more to go) for my aunt, whose birthday was in June, the beginning of June, don't judge.

My personal life is on a roller coaster right now, but I'm about to get off of the ride real soon...

I'm glad that I have good friends that I can talk to, and trust to be honest and not judge me. That give me their honest opinions without worry that I will be upset or whatever, I love and appreciate you all!

I am about to be 27 in less than a month, the birthdays just keep coming!

I finally got a promotion at work, long overdue, but much appreciated. I earned it though, and I truly believe that.

It took me a while to finally finish, but alas, here it is. I'm not sure if I am going to make the other one or not. I made a lot of mistakes and I doubt the mate would look exact. I'm going to think about it though. I need to get a couple of other projects done, so I'll have time to think about it. It turned out much better than I expected.

This Country

I came across an article about a young lady who went to Iraq, she died, her body was sent home to her parents and the army claimed it was a suicide. None of the evidence even comes close to suicide, I just can't believe that you go to fight for your country, and not only are you not safe with the people who you are supposed to be fighting with. NO ONE steps up for you. Disgusting is all I can say.

BET Awards

So, for the first time in a really long time, I watched the BET awards, from start to finish. And I must say, I was really impressed. Didn't see any foolishness. There was a performance followed by an award, and that is how it went for the entire night. I actually enjoyed it. All of the award recipients were hugging and congratulating one another. People were speaking positive. Almost everyone mentioned Barack Obama!! A number of people were not there to receive their awards, but all in all it was a good show.

The Best Swap Ever

So, La and I exchanged for our swap this weekend. We met at about 12:30 at Asakusa and at some delicious sushi. Then, the exchange started. I feel so spoiled. Lagot me some awesome gifts, here goes:
